About Blue Cava Art and the Artist

Angela Deiss is a graduate of the East Carolina University School of Art, Finishing up her Undergraduate education with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts Degree. Although she has a degree in Art, she is also an actress and has starred in many films and on television. 2021 was a very busy year for Angela. She performed in a recurring principal role as Susan Sackler in Beth Macy's 8-episode series Dopesick, that aired in the Fall of 2021 on Hulu featuring Michael Keaton and Rosario Dawson. She played Mob Boss Jane Tennally in The Tennally's. Angela was Mendez wife along side Oscar Nunez in Apple Studio's film Raymond and Ray with Co-star's Ethan Hawke and Ewan McGregor. She was Clair’s Mother in What Would Picasso Do, written and directed by Dopesick Co-star Andrew Brooks. Then was privileged to work onscreen and off screen with two Hollywood legends - Daphne Maxwell Reid and Tim Reid in the film The Business of Christmas II as a supporting actress. She also had fun over the summer of 2021 with Jon Heder and Kim Matula filming Tapawingo. 

Angela has been active behind the screen for over 30 years, where she has enjoyed helping with set design, hair and wardrobe. Her experience allows her to help in different areas of the industry onscreen as a principal actress, background actress, artist for set design, hair or wardrobe. Angela enjoys the versatility her experience allows her to play and enjoys film and television.

During her time at East Carolina University she studied painting, textiles, photography, graphic design, wood working, metal design and ceramics. She started Blue Cava Art in 2018 and produces all the artwork for the Brand from start to finish including the packaging and label design. Blue Cava Art is sold in stores nationwide and Internationally.

Angela has additional training in Emergency Medicine and is a Licensed Paramedic. She also has an Associates degree in Cosmetology. She loves spending time with her husband and step children and writing to her adopted son B-Rumba in Kenya.

The name Blue Cava that comes from the flower girl in her wedding. She loves Addison’s smile and Addison always brings happiness to her life. She hopes that Addison “Never let’s anyone steal her sparkle”. So Angela decided she also wanted that to be the motto for her art. So Blue Cava Art was born! She wants to bring a smile and happiness to everyone that she crosses paths with. With her art she hopes to do just that!

Angela’s Statement:

“I want everyone to see the beauty in the world around us. Especially in today’s world. I see so many suffering in so many ways. I use my resources to give back to those in need whether it is financially, emotionally or physically. I use my artwork to inspire, support and uplift those around me. I am a Stage 3 Colorectal Cancer survivor therefore I do not take life for granted. I live every day like it could be my last and try to make a difference in the world. I am very thankful for the opportunities I have been given and very grateful be able to help others in anyway I can. I have a loving, supportive husband who I could not do life without, who has blessed me every step of the way. For that I am forever grateful. 💙
